i'm dan ackerman and one of the products we've been looking most forward to seeing at CES 2012 has been Dells entry into the Ultrabook market this is the dell XPS 13 and if you've been paying attention ultrabooks that's an Intel marketing term these are very thin very light laptops that are kind of like a macbook air but they run windows and they're usually less expensive this guy here waves just a little bit under three pounds you can get up to an intel core i7 CPU in it which is pretty impressive uses regular integrated intel HD 3000 graphics like other ultrabooks on it has SSD storage in 128 or 256 gig SSD Drive in here I personally like that it has a backlit keyboard but i think is really important for a smaller more portable system that maybe you're going to take on on a train it'll be darker or in an airplane it'll be available early in 2012 starting at just under a thousand dollars i'm dan ackerman that's the dell XPS 13
