Dyson's robot vacuum aims high, but falls short

2016-07-27
when Dyson first announced its 360 iRobot vacuum in 2014 we were really excited about its promise they promised that its 360-degree camera would map out a room better than ever that its motor would be more powerful than any other robot vacuum in the world and now two years later it's finally here in US market and while it does a lot of these things right it Maps out a room nicely it has a super intuitive app the one thing that they said would be awesome its performance just really isn't quite there it's really good but the neato box back connected is only seven hundred bucks and it does it even better so we specifically compared this robot vacuum to the neato bought that connected and the iRobot Roomba 980 on rice and sand this one unfortunately came in last place in third picking up the least amount of those two things in terms of pet hair our third test it came in second place below the neato but above the iRobot Roomba so it did okay but it still didn't do awesome so unless Dyson seriously docks the price of this robot vacuum it's hard to recommend today over cheaper models like the $700 neato bought back connected
