so at first glance the thermostat right here looks just like the original eco be three Wi-Fi smart thermostat we've already tested but this model is actually a totally different model a next-gen model called the Eco v3 light smart thermostat at 80 bucks less it costs just 169 bucks it's available in the u.s. at most major retailers and it has a lot of the things I love about the original eco p3 but it's a little bit pared down and obviously it costs a lot less which is great so you'll find all the same integrations it works with Amazon Alexa it works with apple's homekit it works with Samsung smartthings wink if all of the smart home platforms we love to use but it doesn't actually come with a remote sensor that little sensor you could stick throughout your house that would help equalize temperatures among rooms so if that's something you really want you might want to go up to the Eco b3 they'll continue selling it but if you want a nice smart thermostat that's more like a smart programmable model that doesn't have built-in algorithms or geofencing or any of the super fancy stuff this light version is a really smart bet it works well it has a touchscreen interface just like the original and it's a model that I really like I would recommend it over the similarly priced Emerson sense
