Electrolux miscast its ordinary blender as a high-priced Masterpiece
2016-03-18
this is the $350 Electrolux masterpiece
blender with power tilt technology the
power tilt part refers to the slope of
the container tilting an ordinary
blender while it makes your smoothie can
help it work ingredients towards the
blades this one does that for you to an
extent but neither the blades nor the
jar actively tilt any angles while you
blend power tilt just means it slanted
that's it
that said it looks nice and the preset
buttons mix it up a little bit they
aren't just a variety of speeds that
said the smoothie preset runs a whole
minute and 14 seconds and I stopped
consistently found remaining chunks of
strawberry the best premium models can
do better in 10 to 15 pulses speaking of
pulses the pulse button on this one here
stinks the blender calls it boost but it
takes a whole second or two to get up to
speed that may not seem like a big deal
but the whole appeal of pulsing your
blender is quick bursts of power and
this thing doesn't do that instead you
can't remove the bottom of the blades
it's a pain to scoop out thick
ingredients once you're done blending
the blender actually completed all of
our tests it even turned whole almonds
into almond butter it just took a while
and it needed a lot of help with a three
hundred and fifty dollar price tag this
blender needs to be able to blend with
premium pros like Vitamix blend in juh
and it can't so unless you find it at a
discount
I recommend passing on the Electrolux
masterpiece blending
