one of my favorite reasons for carrying
a smartphone is the availability to
quickly gather information whether I'm
looking up the movie time or I'm looking
up a phone number for a restaurant or
even getting turn-by-turn directions to
that restaurant having quick access to
that information is key I'm Jason
Cipriani was seen at how-to and today
we're going to show you the latest
version of Google Maps running with a
new labs feature called bubble buttons
this allows you to quickly access
information on the go let's take a look
all right we're going to take a look at
a new feature in Google Maps this was
released in the latest update of Google
Maps for Android called bubble buttons
what this does is it actually allows for
more information in to be to be
displayed on your screen allowing for
faster navigation or phone calls here's
the normal display when you're looking
at a venue in Google Maps to enable
bubble buttons tap on menu more then tap
on laps scroll down and you'll see a new
option titled bubble buttons put in tap
on that once you get to enabled alert
hit the back arrow will bring it up
again and as you can see we can now
place a call directly by Places or by
tapping the phone button or we can get
directions and launch straight into the
Google navigation tapping the navigation
button a lot more can be done in a lot
less taps as you just saw we're taking a
few seconds to naval bubble buttons in
the labs portion of Google Maps you're
able to cut down on the time it takes
from searching the venue to actually
either giving directions or calling the
