2012-03-20
it's Tuesday March twentieth 2012 on Bridget Carey on cnet com and it's time to get loaded each Apple device seems to break a record when it comes out and last week's new iPad launches no exception apple reported it sold three million new iPads this past weekend after launching in more than a dozen countries that's the biggest ipad launch weekend yet and that number does not even include pre-orders to date Apple has sold more than 58 million iPads since the first iPad launched in 2010 we may be seen Windows 8 in stores in time for the holidays bloomberg reports Microsoft is aiming to release the final version of its new operating system by October it's also reported that Microsoft will spill all the details at an industry event in early April it's possible the highly popular video game mass effect 3 could get a new ending after hordes of fans have been expressing their outrage over how the trilogy concludes there's a Facebook page and a Twitter feed both in protest over how the war with the Reapers is resolved there's even a petition drive that raised $50,000 for the charity child's play just to get the attention of bioware the makers of the game and have them released a new ending one player even filed a false advertising complaint with the Federal Trade Commission stating that the game didn't live up to what was promoted on the Mass Effect Facebook page Bioware stated that it's actively and seriously taking all player feedback into consideration but it hasn't made a decision yet if it will make a new ending Mass Effect 3 has received positive reviews from many outlets but it seems some fans just one and more closure with the characters the game is executive producer wrote online that they always intended it to have a bittersweet ending more app programmers are saying it's more important to create a mobile-friendly website with html5 than to create an Android app according to a new survey programmers continue to say that they're very interested in creating apps for Apple's iOS devices but less are putting android apps high on that priority list is because there's so much fragmentation between different Android devices that developers say it's a bigger priority just to get a nice-looking mobile website that can work on more devices and have an app just for the Android Marketplace when a study comes out about teens and texting the results are never surprising teens are texting more in talking less the latest pew internet research study says teens average 60 text messages a day but girls of course lead the pack averaging 100 texts today only six percent use email and landline phone use also plummeted only fourteen percent make calls daily on a landline phone and just think they don't even know the joys of losing internet connection because your brother or your mom picked up the phone while you were online that was sacrificed my friends those are headlines for today I'm Bridget Carey prasina com and you just been loaded
