hi this is stephen Shankland with CNN news here in barcelona at the Mobile World Congress show Brenda night chief technology officer of Mozilla and we're here to look at the CTE open this is one of the first Firefox OS phones the ZTE open is a phone based on a Qualcomm reference design the ones we are testing today had an 800 megahertz single core arm Snapdragon processor made by Qualcomm but when they actually ship they'll come with it one gigahertz processor they're pretty low-end machines with 256 megabytes of RAM and 512 megabytes of flash memory it's got an Arduino GPU also from Qualcomm the screen has hvga resolution it's not a very responsive touchscreen and it doesn't have a very good field of view if you're looking at it from an angle it can be hard to read and it can be a little hard to type on the keyboard but it's still early days for Firefox OS so there could be some more software optimizations and of course we'll see higher end phones with better touch screens as well from Barcelona and Mobile World Congress this is stephen Shankland with cnet news with a first look at the ZTE open Firefox OS phone
