hey there i'm josh goldman senior editor
with CNET and this is a look at the
power shot sx260 HS it's canons super
compact 20x zoom camera and i'm gonna
keep this short because it's just an
excellent camera for starters canon
change some design issues I had with
previous versions of it the flash is in
a better position and only comes up when
you need it the controls on back have
better spacing and the power button is
now on top instead of awkwardly crammed
above the LCD the LCD is no longer a
16:9 aspect ratio so if you use the
camera's full 12 megapixel resolution
you can frame using the entire three
inch display and the built-in GPS can
now easily be turned on and off instead
of digging through an endless system
menu its predecessor the SX 230 HS had
excellent photo quality and very good
shooting performance and that continues
here it's not quite as fast as
Panasonic's D s 20 but it's still pretty
quick and if you're concerned about
holding that 20x zoom lens still well
you should be
but canons intelligent image
stabilization worked very well lastly
the camera is loaded with shooting
options from semi manual and manual
controls to full auto as well as full HD
in slow motion movie capture and a bunch
of creative and photo effects if all
that sounds good definitely check it out
I'm Josh Coleman and that's the Canon
