i untie pinner brew from cnet com and
this is a review of the costs pro DJ 100
headphones the DJ headphone market is
booming at the moment thanks to the
success of the now-ubiquitous beats
headphones while you can pay a licensing
fee for rappers name to be sellotape to
your head there's a lot to be said for
keeping it simple unlike the beats the
cost pro djs keep things discreet with a
simple black and silver design and solid
build quality like most DJ headphones
the cups are reversible it can even be
switched into mono mode for listening
with 1-year comfort levels are okay with
a padded headband but cups that don't
quite fit around your ears and these can
cause some issues over time the only
problem I have with these headphones is
the name the pro DJ 100s it conjures up
a very bass heavy set of cans but in
reality these are not for dubstep fans
these are more monitor headphones for
musicians or audio files on a budget the
sound balance is heavy on vocal details
but bass heavy music sounds a bit weedy
if you like detail more so than comfort
and fun these might be for you so would
a DJ or producer wear these let's ask
one let's see here they look cool see we
don't really fold up that well we need
something I could throw around feel kind
of plasticky let's give it a listen
sound really good
said fifty dollars I'll take a pic the
cost pro DJ 100 is an affordable set of
headphones and offered good construction
and decent sound for between fifty and
seventy dollars base fiends need not
apply this has been ty pendlebury for
cnet com
