First Look: The Samsung SyncMaster is a great movie-watching monitor

2012-04-05
if you're in the market for a new 3d monitor that doesn't skimp on normal movies and games performance the Samsung sync master s23 a 750 D isn't one you'd want to ignore hi I'm Eric Franklin and before I say anything else I gotta say that the 750 D is one of the best movie watching monitors I've ever seen this is thanks in part to Samsung's inclusion of its ultra clear panel technology used in his HD TVs this tech just gives movies a smooth nice high contrast cinematic look games look great too with a rich glossy high vibrancy the monitor has a lot of OST options from Eco mode to multiple presets the magic angle to specific RGB color customizations when it comes to 3d games performance though I had some of these same issues I've had with other 3d solutions where I feel like my eyeballs are slowly being pulled from my skull also the illusion of 3d is occasionally dropped when I see double imagery for like a second or so it's not a bad implementation relatively speaking just typical the 3d glasses are comfortable and kind of stylish though also while there is DisplayPort and HDMI there's no DVI port tilt is the only herbal option and while the foot stand isn't ugly by any means it's definitely weird looking I guess it's not a bad thing though depending on your taste the Samsung houses one of the best performing TN panels I've ever seen and displays impressive looking movies and games 3d looked ok for 3d but does nothing to sell me on the tech the lack of a DVI connection is annoying as as the lack of ergo options and while the around $400 price may be a bit too expensive the movies and games performance go a long way towards making up for that once again this is Eric Franklin and this has been a first look at the Samsung sync master s23 a 750
