Flir's new drone camera is feeling the heat

2017-01-06
as if drones needed anymore superpowers to add to their roster of features they can now add heat-sensing thanks to fleurs duo and dual our cameras now don't be deceived by their GoPro form factor they're actually thermal cameras that combined with a traditional camera to create a more precise heat map the thermal camera can also be turned off if you just want to record in traditional 1080p the standard duo shows heat in forms of different colors while the duo are uses radiometric technology to detect the exact temperature of an object or person now this is probably not going to be used by your traditional consumer but it can be extremely helpful in different situations like a solar panel inspection for example or for a search-and-rescue team two limited problems and dangers for actual human beings they can just send out a drone the two cameras can be used with any drone that can manage a GoPro but they're specifically partnering with Auto as you can see here all you have to do is use the Fleur UAS app instead of the proprietary apps from the drone both cameras are available for purchase today the duo will cost $9.99 while the duo are it will cost $12.99
