Flybrix is a crashable Lego drone

2016-09-22
most drone pilots have had a crash or two in their time but this tiny drone is definitely crash friendly this is the fly bricks and if you're thinking that the components look familiar you're right it's all Lego fly box comes with everything you need to make your own toy drone props batteries motor arms and a control board are all included as well as the Lego bricks configurations you can build include a quadcopter hexacopter or octocopter there's an optional RC controller kit otherwise you can fly it with your phone over a Bluetooth connection the app lets you adjust the LEDs to change color and patterns so you can work out when the craft is idle or when it's armed and ready to fly battery life is dependent on the size and weight of the craft but generally you're looking at 5 to 7 minutes of flight time even though the fly bricks is designed for kids it's fun to fly as an adults but some of the components are fragile even if the Lego itself is not one of the motor connectors broke when I crashed it and you may spend more time piecing it back together than actually flying the drone fly break starts at 149 US dollars for a basic kit at launch and it's available now
