Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge design compared with S5, S4 and S3
2015-03-01
the samsung galaxy s6 and s6 edge are
here but how does the design differ from
previous Galaxy flagships so samsung's
new phones introduced to big design
changes first they use metal and glass
instead of plastic and the sides are
rounded with the s6 edge featuring a
screen that has to gently curved sides
holding the metal and glass s6 it does
have a more luxurious feel than last
year's plastic galaxy s5 that oddly
textured plastic on the back and the
sides of the s5 never felt particularly
glamorous so the Essex is glass seems
like a definite style improvement and it
feels like there's more than a year of
difference between the new phones
curving sides and the s5s grill like
edges if you look at the s6 and the s6
edge compared with the s5 the s4 and the
s3 you can appreciate the evolution of
Samsung's flagship phones the s3s huge
screen and oval design was startling at
the time and we loved it the s4 and s5
however while great phones in their own
right didn't do much to alter that
fundamental look and when you see them
like this you can appreciate that the s6
and the s6 edge although not a complete
departure are a significant new
direction for the galaxy flagships so
we've got plenty more to say about both
of these phones so check out cnet com /
mwc for much much more
