Samsung last night announced the galaxy
tab and aimed squarely at Apple's iPad
the galaxy tab has a 7-inch screen a
microSD slot two cameras and will run
Google's Android operating system we've
got no information on pricing but in a
bit of a surprise samsung announced that
the tab will be available from all four
major carriers in the United States and
there's also going to be a Wi-Fi version
as well Microsoft has added support for
public transportation directions in bing
maps the new features will only be
available in about 11 major US cities
but Microsoft promises more in the
future hdcp which is the copyright
protection protocol that's built into
many digital displays in HD TVs has been
cracked much to the consternation of big
content creators hdcp was designed to
keep pirates from making mere perfect
digital copies of movies and TV shows
analysts expect that devices with the
ability to record bit for bit output of
copy protected content to arrive soon
being your own personal voyeur just got
a whole lot easier justin.tv the
personal streaming website has released
an iphone app that will let users
broadcast live from the palm of their
hand the app is available now for free
in the App Store for those who want to
