you some of the top features from
Android 5.0 lollipop as the newest
version of Android lollipop introduces a
brand-new design tweaks to existing
features and a ton of extras the new
design called material is bright and
colorful there are new animations for
when you unlock the device and make
selections on the screen material is
everywhere in the operating system from
individual apps and menus to the
keyboard and the home screen
notifications are redesigned in lollipop
with alerts showing up on the lock
screen there's also the new priority
mode which lets you control what kind of
notifications appear you can set it's
the only important calls texts and
reminders get through to your device or
turn off all notifications for a few
hours for some peace and quiet the old
recent apps menu gets a refresh it's now
called overview and it shows all of your
most recently used apps and a menu that
looks like a stack of cards you can
scroll through all of your open apps and
see the last screen you were on in each
of them and swipe away anything you want
to close lollipop also adds new features
to user profiles with a new guest mode
and the ability to pin an app to the
screen so you can't easily leave it
other extras include a new battery
saving mode tweaks to google voice
search and a redesigned quick settings
menu lollipop is available now on the
Nexus 6 and Nexus 9 that's already
making its way to other android phones
