Google home is finally starting to reach
its potential in a smart home that's
after a dozen new companies announced
integrations with the smart home
platform including logitech harmony
known for their universal remotes lifx
for their colorful smart bulbs that
don't require a hub or August the first
smart lock to work with Google home plus
many others now it's the first major
update for the home since its launch in
November when it only supported nest
Phillips you smart things and if you
know what that was pretty skinny back
then but belkin wemo and honeywell
jumped on board in january and this is
the type of support we've been waiting
to see for the home now the Amazon echo
still has more than 10,000 skills that
are really third party apps for voice
control can do everything from calling
an uber to ordering a pizza Hawaiian
please with extra pineapples and I know
how much that bug some of you who
believe pizza should not have fruit on
it yeah Google home doesn't have
anything on the level of Amazon skills
yet but with these new partnerships
they've taken away a big chunk of
Amazon's to your lead in the space with
more to come all right for more stories
