no what am I going to pull out my phone
and be able to find an information about
what I needed without having to search
for it and do one more step that's the
idea of now on tap which is one of the
features in Google's Android M operating
system that's coming out later this year
now on tap is built into various apps so
you're going to be able to press and
hold button on the bottom and pull up
contextual things within certain apps so
if you're listening to music maybe I
want to know more about that it's going
to predict what I'm interested in or if
someone sends a message saying hey let's
eat at this restaurant I can press an
old up button and suddenly I've got the
information on where I need to call or
you know if the restaurants any good now
on tap is an idea to sort of remove one
more step between you know what you're
doing and searching in Google to
streamline and maybe make Google now a
little more predictive and a little more
helpful on an everyday basis I'm Scott
Steiner here at Google i/o and that's on
tap
