it's Thursday January 12 2012 day 3 the
consumer electronics show at the Las
Vegas Convention Center I'm Bridget
Carey and we're nearing the final
stretch of the show but there's still
much cool tech to buzz about so it's
time to get loaded google TV just got a
little sweeter as it announced it would
support the onlive gaming service on
live is a cloud gaming service that lets
users play console quality games on PCs
tablets and now that includes anyone
with a google TV timing hasn't been
announced yet the on live all you can
play game you package is ten dollars a
month and right now includes about 40
games every verizon smartphone tablet
and hotspot device going forward will be
4g LTE yes that even includes
BlackBerry's and windows phones the only
exception will be verizon's push-to-talk
phones they have to stay on 3g for the
time being verizon said its LTE
infrastructure will be completed by the
end of 2013 the 4G network currently
covers 190 US markets we see quite a few
prototype devices at the show and sony
has been teasing the crowd with a couple
sleek prototype tablets the first is a
rounded tablet with quite an unusually
thick frame it comes with a separate
light up keyboard sony also displayed a
tablet with a thin bronze keyboard at a
speaker docking station sony also made
another surprising announcement
yesterday it's music unlimited service a
cloud-based streaming music service will
be available on iOS devices through a
free app sony is allowing its content to
be accessed outside the typical sony
product line like the playstation it's
also coming to Google TV so Music
Unlimited now sits among competing music
streaming services like Spotify your
kindle books are going to get more
snazzy soon amazon just released tools
for creating books using the website
formatting tools like HTML and CSS that
means publishers can have books with
rich formatting and design like
cookbooks kids books or graphic novels
kindle fire tablets will be the first to
take advantage of the new programming
formats and it will be later rolled out
to the other kindle ink devices it's a
good day for Microsoft Bing just became
the number two search engine behind
Google surpassing Yahoo
is the first time ever Bing has
surpassed Yahoo being carved out fifteen
percent of the market share just a
sliver more than yahoo in december
according to market researcher comscore
and the first android watch is a hit
here at the show because well it
actually looks attractive to where it's
called the imma watch from a company in
italy and it's about the size of an ipod
nano but with curved glass and comes in
any material you want even gold it comes
with a music player twitter facebook
weather and a bluetooth connection means
it can display the caller ID from your
smartphone when someone calls those are
