HP is getting back into phones again the
biggest PC maker in the US on Sunday
revealed the new HP elite x3 a top shelf
Windows smartphone it's got bangin elfs
and speakers a speedy Qualcomm processor
and a nearly 6 inch screen but after HP
repeatedly tried and failed to break
into phones the company is taking a
different approach this time this phone
is for business customers the concept
for the device which is expected to
start shipping this summer is to offer
busy execs a one-stop shop for their
computing needs the phone has a special
dock that lets someone use it
essentially like a desktop and it also
has something called a mobile extender
which is basically a laptop without any
brains inside that connects to the phone
the idea there is for users to get the
experience of a bigger screen and full
keyboard pricing for the phone and these
accessories by the way hasn't been said
HP is hoping to sell the phone directly
to companies not at retail stores time
will tell whether the Elite X 3s extra
accessories and business focus will be
enough to help HP finally make a phone
that people want
