I'm van Ackerman we are taking a very first look at hp's flagship windows 8 laptop the spectre touchsmart xt now Spectre is HP super high-end line they've broken that away from the envy which is still high end just not as high end so you can expect spectre to pack in all the high-end features that HP want to highlight in this case that includes a touchscreen even though it's just a regular clamshell laptop it's got a fairly responsive touchscreen on it actually it's also got a thunderbolt port which is the first time HP has put one of those in a laptop and really one of the only non apple laptops we've seen with a thunderbolt port this is an all-metal laptop that it's got a cool brushed metal exterior I thought the touchscreen was fairly responsive playing around with the windows non Metro interface and it should come out closer to December and start at 1399 and it's not going to be cheap
