HP Spectre: thinner than a MacBook, but more powerful
HP Spectre: thinner than a MacBook, but more powerful
2016-06-22
there are a lot of clothes contenders
but HP claims its new 13-inch Spectre
laptop is the world's thinnest at just
ten point four millimeters thick it
squeezes past even the 12 inch apple
macbook it's not a huge difference but
at these very small sizes every little
bit counts what's even more remarkable
is that the spectre uses intel core i5
and core i7 processors instead of lower
power core m chips used by other ultra
thin laptops like that macbook or even
HP zone elitebook folio g1 the keyboard
on the spectre is actually great for
such a thin laptop the keys of decent
depth and there's really no flex at all
when typing but to get everything this
then there are a couple of compromises
first I hope you like us beat see
because you get three of those ports and
that's it all three can be used for data
or charging and two of them support
really fast Thunderbolt speeds you can
add a bunch of dongles to connect
everything else from Ethernet to regular
USB to hdmi and the display only comes
in one flavor 1920 x 1080 and no
touchscreen that's kind of a bummer for
a really premium laptop like this but
the screen really does look great if you
pick thin / touch then the HP spectre is
one of the sharpest looking new laptops
of the year
you
