I love the 12-inch MacBook but it's not
for everyone sometimes you just need to
run Windows or you need a touchscreen or
you want more than one port on a laptop
so HP has cooked up something that looks
and feels a lot like the 12-inch MacBook
but it's built for professional Windows
users and it's slick-looking enough that
you can feel comfortable using it it's
called the HP EliteBook folio g1 which
is kind of a mouthful of a name like the
MacBook it uses Intel's latest core M
series processors but unlike the MacBook
HP includes the fastest version - Core
m7 for as little as $9.99 crank it up to
about 1700 bucks like the one I have
here and you get a full 4k resolution
touch screen and a big 512 gigs of
storage the keyboard is great especially
compared to the super shallow one in the
macbook but the hinge even though it
folds back a full 180 degrees it's got a
little too much play for my tastes
one final thing to keep in mind I also
tested a regular HD screen version that
ran for about 6 and a half hours the 4k
screen kills your battery and that one
ran for about 2 hours left
