hi this is Brian Bennett for cnet.com
and today we're taking a first look at
the HTC droid incredible 4G LTE this
compact android smartphone hits verizon
on July fifth for 149 99 and as you can
probably guess by its name connects to
verizon's fast 4G LTE data network now
if you're familiar with the HTC droid
incredible series the latest incarnation
i have here shouldn't throw you any
curves just like the incredibles before
it the droid incredible 4G LTE is
smaller than your average android phone
sports a 4 inch screen and a muscular
aesthetic complete with verizon red
highlights while the incredible 4g LTE
doesn't come with google's latest and
greatest Android for dot one jellybean
OS it does have android 40 Ice Cream
Sandwich installed on top of that is the
HTC Sense for you I a 1.2 gigahertz
dual-core Snapdragon s4 processor powers
the handset HTC has also added beats
audio processing to sweeten the deal the
phone's back is textured 2 plus is
raised a bit which is a droid incredible
design staple under the tiny battery
cover is a 1700 milliamp battery and
micro SD and 4G LTE sim card slots
thankfully you can access these without
touching the battery also on back is the
phones 8 megapixel camera with LED flash
above the screen is a VGA resolution
front facing camera and below that our
capacitive buttons to control android
functions the right side holds a thin
volume rocker and on the left side sits
a micro USB port on the top edge of the
phone it's a 3.5 millimeter headphone
jack and tiny power button there's an
NFC chip inside to allowing the handset
to use the new Android Beam feature for
transferring info between two devices by
bumping them together I'm Brian Bennett
