Hackers breach HBO's firewall, steal Game of Thrones script (CNET News)

winter is here
it appears house hbo's wall has been
breached and by wallets like a firewall
so no major spoilers for any of you Game
of Thrones fans out there but it looks
like HBO was the victim of a potentially
major hack the hackers responsible are
claiming highly coveted information
about upcoming episodes of Game of
Thrones is part of the stolen data an
anonymous email sent of various news
outlets and reporters announced the hack
specifically named checking Game of
Thrones as part of the planned leak they
say they have 1.5 terabytes of data
which could be anything from undeveloped
scripts to unreleased episodes of shows
like Game of Thrones there's also a
chance private employee data was stolen
making it a stressful time for anyone at
the company
HBO chairman and CEO Richard plepler
attempted to calm the storm in an email
to employees stating quote any intrusion
of this nature is obviously disruptive
unsettling and disturbing for all of us
I can assure you that senior leadership
and our extraordinary technology team
along with outside experts are working
around the clock to protect our
collective interests unquote so while
HBO is confirming that there was a
breach they're not saying which shows
were affected and what might have been
taken and if those hackers do make good
on their threat to drop unreleased
episodes of Game of Thrones here's my
advice don't watch them support the
people who worked really hard to make a
show we all enjoy for cnet.com I'm
Ashley sceva vegan humans
