one of the cool things about mac OS is that you can use your Apple watch to unlock your Mac once you get them all synched up which actually takes a while so one of the see number one how well that worked I locked the screen everything seemed up here I'm going to go like this unlocking with Apple watch I get a little ding that's okay but I wondered how far away you can actually go so I'm gonna go and lock the screen again I'm going to go out I've got my tape measure tape right here to the front of the laptop I'm going to go out to four feet so Joe's going to lean in over here and hit the spacebar and wake up the computer and let's take a look and see what happens four feet away boom that one lock just fine so we're going to put it back to sleep again and I'm going to go out further okay six feet all right Joe let's hit it again and see if we can unlock our MacBook from 6 feet away with the Apple watch and it's gonna unlock that was great okay put it to sleep again okay now I'm at 8 feet I'm just gonna wake the system up again and see if we can turn it on from here and eight feet we have look at that that works Wow all right lock it again let's take at the 10 feet and Oh slow its slow nope didn't work okay so we're too far away now let's try from 9 feet okay hit the spacebar and I'm going to unlock it ok 9 feet work Wow so right here in this particular test we got up to 9 feet away and we're still able to unlock the macbook using the Apple watch I've tested it a bunch of other places and sometimes 5 to 7 feet is the sweet spot in this case this is the furthest we've never got 9 feet oh I wouldn't say based on our other test but that's really you could reliably unlock your MacBook from 90 feet away but it's something to keep in mind if your MacBook is sitting on a desk and you're all the way across the room you
