got a minute
give your headphones or earphones a good
clean to keep them sounding their best
and also they've been in your ears
before you start cleaning check the
manufacturers website for any special
instructions or techniques dampen a soft
cloth with warm water and some dish soap
if your earbuds or headphones have
removable plastic tips or pads take them
off and clean them separately obviously
you want to avoid any liquid going into
the electronics themselves wipe down
each component with the cloth including
the wire and dry thoroughly if there's
lots of grime on the mesh try scrubbing
gently with an old toothbrush mounting
putty will also lift dirt in those small
spaces just repeat it a few times a low
concentration hydrogen peroxide or
rubbing alcohol can also help dislodge
dirt but use it sparingly and always dry
thoroughly afterwards in San Francisco
