Amazon tap lets you take Alexa on the go the problem is without Wi-Fi Ecco loses most of our smarts so here's how you can connect tap to a Wi-Fi mobile hotspot through your phone booth open your Alexa app and go to settings select your tap and choose update Wi-Fi hold the Wi-Fi button on the back of the tap for five seconds until the lights on the front turn orange connect a tap in your phone's Wi-Fi settings go back to the Alexa app scroll to the bottom and select use this device as a Wi-Fi hotspot enter your network name and password if you don't know what these are you can find them in the personal hotspot section of your phone settings it should tell you each of these pieces of information go to your phone settings and turn on the personal hotspot finally once Alexa says she's connected return to the Alexa app and tap continue now between your phone and Amazon tap you can talk to Alexa no matter where you are you
