hey guys Jason Cipriani here a cnet how
to contributor and today I'm going to
show you how to create a custom
vibration alert in iOS 5 iOS 5 allows
you to set custom vibrations based on
contacts first thing we'll need to do is
turn on the future so we'll go into
settings general scroll all the way down
and tap on accessibility scroll down a
little bit and you'll see a section
titled hearing and custom vibrations
make sure that is turned on then what
you'll need to do is go to your contact
book find a contact you want to set a
custom vibration alert to open that
contact up and tap on edit once you tap
on edit you'll see a new option under
ringtone titled vibration go ahead and
tap on that that's going to populate
with the list of already some preset
vibrations that come with iOS 5 we want
to create our own so we could scroll all
the way down here tap on create new
vibration and this really cool looking
you I pops up which record how you tap
the screen so whatever you tap out on
the screen the longer you hold the
longer that vibration that quicker your
tap the quicker the vibration once
you're done press stop in order to fill
what you just recorded press play you
can see it playback on the screen I
don't know if you guys can hear that
coming across on the video then tip tap
stop if you wanted to save that you want
tap save we're not going to save this
one we already have some preset then
once you have a preset you come back out
select that custom vibration and you're
all set well that's it now you know how
to create a custom vibration alert for
your contacts on iOS 5 for more fun tech
