this is Google's new chromecast streaming device as you can see it features a slight redesign from the original but that's not all it also includes support for faster 5 here Hertz Wi-Fi networks I'm going to show you how to set it up to work with your iPhone Android device and computer we're going to start by plugging the chromecast into the back of your TV and then connecting the power cord now make sure Wi-Fi is turned on on your smartphone and then download the chromecast app for your iPhone or Android device open the app and as long as you have Wi-Fi enabled you should see your chromecast tap the setup button and wait for your chromecast to connect once it does you should see an identifier code on your TV tap I see the code on your phone and then give your chromecast a unique name so it's easy to find for example I'm gonna call mine Dan's chromecast once you're done click the set name button now the next parts important you have to set the Wi-Fi network and because the new chromecast supports the faster five gigahertz frequency if your router supports five gigahertz make sure you choose the five gigahertz Network then enter the password and click set Network you can now begin casting from apps like YouTube Netflix Spotify and more just tap that little cast icon in the app if you want to cache your computer screen you have to add the Google cast extension to your Chrome browser head to the Chrome Web Store search Google cast and click Add to Chrome then tap the cast icon at the top right corner of the browser to cast your entire screen this is a good workaround for watching Amazon videos which aren't supported on chromecast for more tips and tricks like this one be sure to check out how to Tina calm you can also reach out to me on Twitter with any questions or comments I'm Dan graziano see net thanks for watching you
