Intel Smart Clip ensures you don't forget the baby
2015-08-18
everybody knows that leaving a child in
a car on a hot day is a very bad idea
and that is where the nobbies Smart Clip
comes into play it's a collaboration
with Intel and we saw it previously this
year at CES 2015 but it's now actually
going to be a final product that's
coming to market in the holiday season
at the end of this year so what it does
it's a clip it clips on to any existing
car seat or seat belt and then it gives
you a readout of things like the ambient
temperature the battery life of the clip
itself and there's also an accelerometer
in it and this can tell you a number of
different things like if the car is
moving or if your child has actually
unbuckled the clip it runs off a cell
coin battery this will last a couple of
months but the key feature of this is
when you actually move out of Bluetooth
range so for example you've left your
child in the car or you've gone off to
get something from a shop or wherever
you might be the phone will actually
give you a notification and this app is
always running in the background so even
if you don't have a potion you will
continue to get the notification if you
move out of Bluetooth range remind you
that the child is still in the car plus
give you all those different metrics if
you want to find out more information
about this you can check out cnet com
