I've seen a lot of smartwatches but I've never seen anything like the Kairos watch I'm Scott Stein and Mobile World Congress in Barcelona Kairos watch takes a mechanical watch and layers a transparent display on top this is a prototype that's running a demo loop but the first time that we've seen it and it's basically layering those SmartWatch notifications on top of a watch and so you're getting a hybrid you can see underneath there are gears and then here there are screens you know like Arnold Schwarzenegger is calling or you're listening to your music now interesting kind of a gimmick but wait think about where this could go what if you took something like a glowing display and layered it on top of a reflective LCD display what are you at something like a Pebble watch that also had glowing notifications that layered on top of it to save battery life pretty cool now I don't know when this is coming out what it costs we're just getting a brief glimpse of this at the show the Kairos watch is only in prototype right now and is a big watch but it's a pretty interesting trick I'm Scott Stein here at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona you
