joke all you want about wolves guarding
chickens when it comes to hiring a
Russian software firm to protect your
computer but the fact of the matter is
is that Kaspersky is one of the best
security suites around the new 2013
version creates a virtual Fort Knox
around your financial transactions and
it includes a new exploit prevention
engine hi i'm seth rosenblatt frisina
and today we're taking a first look at
kaspersky internet security 2013 there's
basically two major new features to talk
about the first is the automatic exploit
Prevention engine which uses the ASL our
technology found in Android iOS and
Windows 8 to prevent unknown security
holes from being exploited the engine
runs in the background silently and it's
available in both the high-end kaspersky
internet security and the lower-priced
Kaspersky antivirus the other major new
feature is safe money but it's only in
the more expensive version safe money is
a combination of sandbox and browser
add-on that automatically detects when
you visit your bank online and opens the
site in a sandboxed new browsing window
this hands-free approach is excellent
because you don't have to change any of
your browsing habits simply go to your
bank's website and it opens other minor
but notable improvements in the 2013
suites include expanding the range of
the physical keyboard security feature
and installer that removes conflicting
security suites and malware during
installation and better laptop battery
management Kaspersky system performance
benchmarks left room to be improved and
honestly we'd like to see a smaller
footprint the new Kaspersky is worth
checking out for the safe money feature
alone but while the trial is free a
one-year license retails for around 80
bucks for the first look at kaspersky
internet security 2013 i'm seth
