KitchenAid - Sous vide is on fire, just not in the US
KitchenAid - Sous vide is on fire, just not in the US
2015-09-03
hi I'm here at the ephah 2015
Electronics Show in Berlin and whirlpool
showed off a pretty neat sous-vide
system that right now it's only
available in Europe this is a three part
system that uses freezing seam cooking
and vacuum sealing to give you the best
results when it comes to cooking your
food so this middle section is where you
vacuum seal your food to make sure
you're locking in all those nutrients
this top section is where you can either
use conventional oven method or steam
cooking to cook your food now the bottom
of the column is where the freezer is
now with this you can flash freeze your
food or traditionally freeze your food
and that will keep in the vacuum sealer
for up to three months now this system
which is called the chef touch
collection has been available in Europe
since about 2010 this year KitchenAid
revamped the design and debuted the
model still in Europe and it doesn't
seem like it's coming to the US anytime
soon according to one of the Whirlpool
execs here at Aoife the US isn't quite
ready for a sous-vide cooking system yet
but because of the US is renewed
interest in healthy eating we might see
a product like this maybe a few years in
the future to find out more about
soothly cooking and to follow our team
