hi i'm ty pendlebury and this is a look
at the LG 60-inch ph 6700 plasma TV if
you're on the market for a new plasma
then there's not many manufacturers left
to choose from and they would go in this
order panasonic samsung and then LG this
ph 6700 is the company's flagship
because it's the most expensive one but
it's still only worth about 1,200 bucks
this television has plenty of bells and
whistles with a new magic motion remote
voice interaction Inspector Gadget smart
TV and cable box integration well it
also has 3d capability you do have to
buy the glasses separately for fifty
dollars which is disappointing for a
flagship the TV is fairly conservatively
styled for LG with a black bezel and
stand but at least it does swivel the
television may be priced similarly to
the Panasonic st60 but it misses out on
the bright room filters so it will look
best in the dark only picture quality is
mostly good and equivalent to last
year's LG plasma which sold for twice
the price shadow detail is excellent and
color is very good too but we need to
talk about black levels all of this
year's panasonic plasmas completely blow
it away for black levels and even some
vizio LCD s at half the price if you
value good set-top box control and can
handle watching in a dark room the LG ph
6700 offers a big 60 inch screen for not
much money otherwise if picture quality
is most important you are better off
with the Panasonic s60 or st60 this has
been ty pendlebury for cnet.com
you
