this is concave OLED I'm standing in the middle of one of the most curved screens I've ever seen this is an OLED technology only OLED can do this only you know it can be bent this way there's concave according to LG display and also convex which is bending in the other direction something that LED LCD cannot do of course the real benefit here with this particular display is an immersive look I was just staring at the screen it was pretty much my entire peripheral vision was filled with this game you can imagine how cool that would be standing in a pod like this on the other hand LG says that you can use this convex display for commercial purposes for example if you have a column in the middle of a place where you want to put a screen and advertising you can slap it on there and the display will just kind of fall around the edge of it so anyway that's a quick look at the technology that LG Display is using these things aren't actually in the market yet they're not being used for commercial purposes but they've been really beefing up the electronics and all the things that can make it be commercially viable and that's a quick look at LG's convex and concave OLED displays David Katz Myer at CES 2016 for Cena
