hello everybody it's Lynn la here with
cnet bringing you guys the ginormous LG
Optimus Vu the Ville is only available
so far in Korea which is fine because
we're still recovering from the
connection we had with the Samsung
Galaxy Note it is indeed a phone with a
5-inch IPS LCD display with 615 its of
brightness now it's 4 by 3 aspect ratio
is great for viewing websites but for
videos like the ones on YouTube you can
see how there's a lot of dead space the
vu also comes with a stylus or what LG
calls the rubber DM pen though I like
the fact that it feels sturdy like a
real pen it doesn't tuck in anywhere
within the device the stylus works in
conjunction with the handsets quick memo
feature which you can immediately access
with this shortcut key once you press it
you could begin jotting down notes or
sketches with your pen or finger and
save it for reference this handset is
also NFC enabled and comes with these
tag plus stickers which you can use and
activate certain settings on your phone
for example say every time you get in
your car you want to launch the
navigation app and turn bluetooth on
just set it here and save it and stick
the car mode sticker in your car and now
every time you get in tap it these
settings will activate there's also an
office sticker so you can adjust your
sound and data connection once you come
into your office the device is equipped
with a 2080 milliampere hour battery
which translates to roughly 11 hours of
reported talk time it has an 8 megapixel
camera on the back that can record in
full HD 1080p video and a 1.3 megapixel
camera in the front it's also powered by
a 1.5 gigahertz dual-core processor now
some might say that just like the note
the vu is going to help usher in a new
era of phone tablet hybrids while the
verdict is still out on that question
the boot isn't so entirely modern for
one thing it still runs on android 2.3
Gingerbread and it has this crazy
embedded antenna true the antenna is
supposed to be for the TV and radio
feature on the device not necessarily
for calling but it's still definitely a
throwback again I'm Lynn and this has
been the LG yes I swear it's a phone
Optimus Vu
you
