hello TV fans I'm Luke we're straight
for CNET at CES 2014 taking a look at an
absolutely enormous television this is
LG's 21:9 curved Ultra HD TV now apart
from the gentle curve so my standout
feature of this TV is its 21 by 9 aspect
ratio now that unusual aspect ratio
should give you a much bigger more
impressive view of blu-rays and DVDs
although it's worth noting that if
you're watching regular TV then you will
get a couple of black bars on either
side there's also the option though to
stretch the picture hopefully that won't
make it look too warped now this screen
is vast it's 105 inches on the diagonal
and interestingly LG calls this a 5k
display that's because the resolution
actually goes above and beyond what you
get with 4k specifically it's a 50 120
by 2160 pixels screen it's getting that
extra pixel space of course from the
sides of the display which are wider
than a regular TV LG says this will be
available to buy in the next few months
there's no price yet but it's going to
be very very expensive I'm sure I don't
know how you would even fit this through
your front door let alone get it up on
your wall but if you do have a big
enough house and you have the budget to
stretch to it it looks like a very cool
bit of tech I'm Luis Royo seen it at CES
principled team check out CES or
