LG's 360 VR headset doesn't dazzle when it comes to virtual reality
2016-05-04
it's 2016 which means every company
needs to offer a VR style gadget LG is
the latest of the block with the LG 360
VR designed to work with its brand new
flagship phone - g5
the 360 VR uses a USB type-c cable to
connect to the phone so you're actually
watching on the dual 960 by 720
resolution screens built into the
headset while the phone does all the
processing the design is extremely
lightweight but it's also more open than
other headsets which results in a lot of
light leaking into your field of view
the lenses can be focused independently
which sounds handy but it's tricky to
get right because you're holding the
phone you can tap on the screen to
accept commands instead of using the
okay button on the headset the 360 VR
has a headphone jack so you're also not
connected to your phone by two separate
cables the 360 VR is part of the g5
friends a range of accessories made for
the g5 the headsets light but it's
weighed down by poor design choices
