LG has released some spectacular TV
designs this year but not all of us can
afford three grand on a television hi
i'm ty pendlebury and this is a review
of the LG LS 4600 and it starts at the
much more affordable street price of
seven hundred dollars while not a design
superstar the TV isn't bad looking with
a slim black bezel and a distinctive
swivel stand the remote control is a
fully fledged bottle and fairly friendly
the TV lacks internet connectivity so
features are limited to USB media
playback or connection via one of three
HDMI ports as far as picture quality is
concerned the 2012 LGS have been a mixed
bag with a couple of standouts and a
whole lot of dross and unfortunately
this TV fits in the ladder black levels
are bad even for the price and while
shadow detail is good it is obscured by
big back light clouds and bluish tones
color is ok but there is a lack of
vibrancy that even TVs at half the price
can muster but at least it has a swivel
stand right unfortunately the ogl is
4600 doesn't do enough of anything at
all to justify its high price and is
definitely not recommended this is ty
pendlebury for cnet com
