hi david katz mark from cnet here and
i'm standing next to the mammoth LG 84
LM 9600 this is the largest LCD TV I've
seen at the show so far now it does
Sharp's 80 incher by 4 inches this set
also has what LG is calling ultra
definition which is 3840 x 2160
resolution that's pretty much double a
standard 1080p TV one of the advantages
of that extra resolution from what I
understand is that it may enable the
passive 3d to look a little bit sharper
than it does on standard passive 3d TVs
that have 1920 x 1080 resolution will
see that when it hits Shores this TV
also has edge-lit LED technology as well
as LG's full passel of features which
includes that standard passive 3d as
opposed to the active 3d and also it has
the LG Smart TV suite which includes all
the bells and whistles and a new 4-way
motion-activated voice controlled remote
of course all that stuff is kind of
candy compared to the size of this TV at
84 inches it really is humongous larger
than pretty much any shipping plasma
unless you want to pay north of ten
thousand dollars of course we don't have
any pricing on this TV but availability
will be in the third quarter of 2012
that's a quick look at the LG 84 LM 9600
LCD TV among the world's largest I'm
David Katz Meyer at CES 2012
you
