LG's see-through smart fridge takes the CES stage

2017-01-05
hey guys I'm here with the LG smart interview refrigerator this is a new smart grid technology that's built to compete with the Samsung family hub refrigerator you can see it's got the same sort of four door design with this big touchscreen on the upper right door and this is 29 inches so it's a little bigger than Samsung's touchscreen and it's also translucent so you can actually sort of see through into your groceries in the door there and actually put stickers over top of things and the label which person will tell you whose stuff is whose and leave messages for your family he also browsed the web and look at the recipes on this fridge and I've got alexa built in too so you can control all that with your voice those Alexa controls are new here at CES also new LG's webOS platform is what runs that touchscreen before that was Windows and for Tanith now it's webOS other fridge features include the ability to check cameras inside the fridge to look inside about opening the doors along with checking the weather or playing music all sorts of cool things you can do just like you would on a tablet of course the big question is how much this thing's gonna cost you don't have the specific number yet but it's a very safe bet that it's not going to be a bargain any time soon we'll keep you posted as we know more about it this year
