Lenovo marches PC gaming into 2017 with the new Legion series

Lenovo has always been a bit of a
stealth force in PC gaming for years the
company has turned out some very good
gaming laptops and desktops you get a
little bit of game reef Flair good
performance and generally good prices
but at CES 2017 Lenovo is rebranding at
OU gaming line hoping to make it more of
a player in the high-end boutique gaming
space the new name is legion inspired by
roman legions and it's launching with
two new laptops the y7 20 and the y5 20
of those I think the 17-inch 720 is the
more interesting you get higher end
graphics options with it it's the first
Windows laptop with built-in dolby atmos
which is a surround sound ecosystem for
positional content but my favorite
feature on that y7 20 is the integrated
Xbox one wireless receiver if you want
to plug an Xbox controller into into a
regular laptop you need that big chunky
Xbox controller dongle that really
doesn't work half the time it just
sticks out from the side building in the
receiver which is something we've only
seen on a very small handful laptops I I
think it's a big cool extra feature the
720 is going to be available in April
starting at $13.99 in the US while the
15-inch why 520 which misses some of
these other high-end features is coming
in February 2 starting just $8.99
