Lenovo's ThinkPad X1 Yoga trades up to OLED

2016-08-26
after years of splitting up its best features among different models lenovo has finally come close to making the ultimate yoga hybrids for the past several years we've seen yoga's in different styles and sizes for different features but the one thing they all have in common is that 360 degree hinge for flipping into kiosk cable 10th or even tablet modes now the new ThinkPad x1 yoga is aimed at professionals and it has lenovo's best style of keyboard the ThinkPad keyboard and it even retracts into the body when you fold it into tablet mode it also comes with a little stylus for drawing and note-taking but the big headline here is the 14 inch OLED display that's right it's the same kind of OLED screen found in the highest end TVs and it looks fantastic this is one of only about three laptops you can buy right now with an OLED display and you can see that the colors are amazingly bright the black levels are so good you can hardly see where the screen ends and the bezel begins now OLED TVs are expensive and guess what OLED laptops are - from $1600 to $2000 or more but this yoga has the best hybrid keyboard I've tried it offers high-end core i7 processors and it has one of the best laptop screens you've ever seen and after you see an old laptop screen it's hard to go back to plain old LCD
