Show it's Thursday January sixth I'm

Vegas this week and it's time to get
loaded Motorola made some impressive
announcements first off the motorola
xoom spelled with an ex it's a tablet
running the honeycomb variety of
Google's Android operating system it
will have both 3 and 4G and a hi-def
webcam they also announced three Android
phones the motorola cliq to the 4g droid
bionic and the atrix 4g smartphone on
AT&T with a web top docking station this
is a really cool thing it's basically a
laptop shell that you plug your
smartphone into it takes your phone and
pulls it into your screen where you can
then navigate it with a keyboard and the
trackpad LG showed off a lovely new
phone it's the LG optimus 2x it runs the
nvidia tegra two chip which nvidia is
touting as its super smartphone chip
that brings browsing and gaming to the
phone even faster than ever before LG
also in veiled five new TVs with an app
store for their connected TVs that
brings you online services like hulu
plus netflix and more AT&T announced its
4G plans here at the show on Wednesday
along with 20 new phones that's right
2018 T promised to have its 4G LTE
network up and running by the middle
part of this year most of the new phones
that the company announced our Android
phones using Google's mobile operating
system they will be made by motorola HTC
and samsung AT&T also alluded to a
motorola tablet but they didn't give any
details about it we have some official
information about the blackberry
playbook Research In Motion announced
that it will run on sprint's 4g network
the 7-inch tablet will come out in the
summer which is a long time in tablet
age we do have a first look of the
PlayBook here on cnet so make sure you
look for that today and toshiba is
showing off a 3d TV that does not
require the glasses it's called the
glasses list 3d res Keth gl1 it's
already available in Japan in 12 and 20
inch models but the US versions are
being
here are 56 and 65 inches we don't have
specifics on how much they cost but we
do know that the smaller versions in
Japan are not cheap they cost between
fourteen hundred and twenty eight
hundred dollars Mitsubishi announced a
3d projector the diamond HD 9000 3d
projector can display images in 3d on
screens that are 100 inches or bigger we
don't have a price on this yet and the
2012 ford mustang will have something
called sync applink which will let the
driver control smartphone apps using
voice control app link will control the
cars navigation system as well which
will include a touch-based 8-inch screen
and microsoft focused heavily on connect
at their press conference this year the
company is going to bring connect
functionality to Netflix and Hulu Plus
mean you can control your movie services
with body movements and finally GM has
partnered with powermat to put wireless
charging in the car GM has bought a
five-million-dollar stake in power math
the company that makes wireless phone
chargers the plan is to put these
wireless chargers in the Chevy Volt so
that when you drop your phone down on
the console it will charge it up this
feature will come to market in about 18
months that's your news of the day but
