Logitech Circle 2 review: Wired security camera for guarding your home
2018-01-21
the 180 dollar logitech circle 2 is a
major improvement over the company's
last gen circle security camera instead
of a rechargeable battery this model is
powered by an adapter and it can be used
inside or outside and temperatures
ranging from negative 4 to over 100
degrees Fahrenheit the power adapter
does limit the circle twos mobility a
bit but the original circle camera had a
very limited battery life and wasn't
weather proofed for outdoor use if you
do want a battery-powered camera
Logitech also sells a rechargeable
version of the circle 2 for $200 that we
plan to test out soon in terms of
technical specs the circle 2 has 1080p
HD live streaming a wide 180 degree
field of view and free 24-hour clip
storage you can view in the related app
Logitech also offers a free time-lapse
of your day so you can see all of the
major activity in a condensed clip this
camera is also extremely smart home
friendly with support for Amazon Alexa
specifically screen compatible devices
like the fire TV stick and the echo show
it also works with apple homekit and
Google Assistant signing up for
Logitech's optional cloud service gives
you access to 14 or 31-day video clip
storage person alerts and customizable
motion detection zones the circle 2 is a
reliable indoor outdoor security camera
that sends alerts in near real time when
it detects regular motion or sees a
person if you don't mind that it has to
be connected to an adapter 24/7 the
wired circle 2 camera might be worth
your money
