McDonald's discontinued fitness tracker tested: Not as good as the fries
2016-08-18
maybe the reason McDonald's stopped
selling the fitness tracker included in
its Happy Meals was because it didn't
work I picked one up from my local
Golden Arches in New York to check it
out right before it was pulled my newest
now non-existent fitness tracker snap it
cost me just under $4 including a burger
drink and fries they came in several
colors all my local place had was green
batteries come included in fact you
can't replace them to you snap it you
put it on your wrist you press it's one
big button and you move it just tracks
steps it's not a watch it doesn't even
sync with a phone to reset the step
counter you press and hold the only
button it has right in the middle
snap it fit tight on my wrist because
it's made for kids reports claim that it
caused skin rashes my arm was fine but I
wouldn't advise wearing one now that
it's been recalled it's also a very bad
step counter compared to Fitbit or the
Apple watch it counted steps even while
I was sitting eating fries and yet
walking around the office it
undercounted my steps by several hundred
which is a shame because who take me
according to a calorie estimator I found
online about ten thousand steps were
four point five miles to burn off the
545 calories or so my cheeseburger happy
meal
