Microsoft will cut up to 3,000 jobs
mainly in its sales department the
majority of which will be overseas CNBC
reports that the move is focused to help
Microsoft bolster its Azure cloud
platform which is still yet to become
profitable Microsoft already faces steep
cloud computing competition from Google
and Amazon in a market that's quickly
becoming crowded and speaking of layoffs
SoundCloud has cut 40% of its entire
staff to stay above water the company
will also close offices in San Francisco
and London as it continues to deal with
outstanding debt and the struggles of
the music streaming industry and finally
hulu has announced that HBO and Cinemax
will join the streaming services lineup
going for 15 and ten dollars a month
respectively this will include on-demand
content in both East and West Coast
