I'm Dan Hackman here at Microsoft's big press event in New York surprise today the Microsoft Surface book it's a 13.5 inch laptop very thin very light powered by a you know current six generation intel core i series processors but the big surprise here is that despite the fact that my crops is making its own laptop it's actually also a hybrid you press this button and the entire top comes off and it's a standalone tablet now inside the base is some extra components including a GPU which something usually don't find in a thin system like this but you can just pull this off and it's almost like a regular surface pro tablet and of course when you're ready for all the power together you put it back on the hinge itself is very unique they call it a dynamic fulcrum hinge has kind of an accordion I look feels very smooth doesn't click or anything and say it's fairly swiftly wherever you put it this thing should be shipping later in October starting at 1499 I'm Dan ackman and that is the Microsoft Surface book
