Microsoft joins suit to stop immigration ban, other tech firms to follow (CNET News)

microsoft is supporting a Washington
state lawsuit to stop President Donald
Trump's executive order that restricts
immigration from several predominantly
Muslim countries Microsoft is the third
washington-based tech company to lend
support to the lawsuit filed by the
washington state attorney general's
office which is making the argument that
the ban is unconstitutional amazon and
Expedia have also filed statements of
support for the suit these companies are
all sharing details on how the order is
negatively impacting their business and
employees numerous technology companies
have spoken out in opposition to the
immigration ban many tech companies
depend on employees that come from
around the world Reuters reports that
several other tech companies are meeting
to strategize how to fight the order and
file an amicus brief in support of this
lawsuit or other lawsuits that challenge
the order the report states github

companies invited include Google Netflix
Airbnb Kickstarter and Etsy to name a
