Microsoft's Lumia 650 has good looks at a low price

Microsoft's Lumia 650 is a strange beast
the budget-priced phone that actually
looks much nicer than its flagship
stablemates
it's only six point nine millimeters
thick has a clean map design and the
anodized aluminium frame adds class that
the 950 can't match the 5-inch OLED
display is bright and clear and it's
easy to forget that the resolution is
only 720p it's quite a good windows
experience with a few caveats while the
styling is strong the build quality
feels a little weak not helped by the
fact it's superlight just 122 grams
peeling off the back to access the 2000
milliamp hour battery and SIM card slot
adds to the slightly flimsy feel while
it underperformed in our battery tests
in real world use it's actually pretty
resilient lasting over a day with
moderate phone use you are missing
features like windows hello's facial
recognition and the windows continuum PC
like experience then again you're only
paying $199 u.s. or $299 Australian and
their features you might not miss for a
low cost Windows Phone experience the
Lumia 650 takes the right boxes
